Kensington International School Families,
Here are two new documents you may find helpful. One is a revised version of the cohort schedule for hybrid learning.
The chart identifies which cohorts of students attend school in-person or remotely by date.
Families can contact their child’s school if they don’t know their cohort assignment.
Also attached is the Return to School Schedule.

A special letter from our school nurse:
Hello Kensington International Families,
As we plan to return to in person learning the Springfield Public School district
along with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education have encouraged
increased mitigation strategies for Covid-19. One method for this is pooled testing of
students to reduce exposure for asymptomatic individuals. You will be receiving consent forms
for symptomatic covid testing and pooled testing in the classrooms the forms through email,
postal mail and should be receiving a Connect-Ed phone call as a reminder. If you have any questions,
please contact our office. I look forward to coming back to school safely!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION on Getting Back to School Safely:
Families can expect the opportunity to send students back to school this spring if COVID-19 rates are low in the community and the school ventilation upgrades are all successfully completed.
A return-to-school plan would begin with the district’s highest need students being provided the opportunity to return to school at least a few days per week beginning on March 15th. The opportunity for the return of other students would proceed in stages by grade level on April 12th. The return-to-school plan is a hybrid model, where students will experience both in-person and remote learning models within a given week. A hybrid model will allow the district to observe social distancing rules since only half of the student body would be in the building at a time.
Even with the implementation of a hybrid back-to-school model, families will still have the option to allow their children to remain fully remote until the end of the school year.
The presentation below provides some information about the health and safety protocols that would be implemented for back-to-school.
