Welcome to Fifth Grade! 

Welcome to fifth Grade!  We have many exciting lessons, field trips, and of course, our IB exhibition!  Please be aware that your student has homework every night. They should also be reading for twenty minutes a night.


Miss Chisholm


I started teaching here at Kensington in 2015

Attended UMass Amherst


Interests: Spending time with my family and and friends, reading books, traveling, and going to the beach.

I hope all students develop a love of reading. I also hope that all my students treat each other with respect.


Miss Greene

I started teaching in the 2018-2019 school year. 

Graduated from Westfield State University

Interests outside of school: Hiking, traveling, reading and spending time with my family and friends.

My hope is to provide each of my students with a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment where they can reach their highest learning potential.

Academic Information

  • Important texts: The students will be reading a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts. We are hopefully doing an author’s study on Roald Dahl later in the year.
  • Major Projects: 5th grade will be doing a variety of projects this year. We will start by dissecting Owl Pallets and Chicken Wings. We will create our own information books and our IB exhibition.
  • Field Trips: We had a great time on our field trip to Plimouth Plantation and the Mayflower. Our next field trip will be going to ECOS and in the spring will spend two days at Bondi’s Island.
    • Some possible field trips include Lupa Zoo and The Basketball Hall of Fame.
